LSC Foundation Board Officers

Sydney Hoard: Chair
After spending over 25 years in the Insurance Industry. I began volunteering at my grandson's first grade class helping kids learn to read and I discovered how great it felt to volunteer! Then, I decided to take an exercise class at the Senior Center, asked if they needed volunteers, and began about three weeks later as a front desk volunteer, in April of 2018! I was grateful to help keep activities going during the Covid-19 lockdown and be there for re-opening. I was asked to be the chair for the Foundation as the committee transitioned to its current status. Both positions have given me so much more than what I feel I've given...Go LSC Foundation!

Terry Strausser: Treasurer
I’ve always been drawn to working with numbers.
I started by volunteering as treasurer of my kids PTA group. From there working at US Bank as a teller. Which led to 30 years with the city of Mountlake Terrace obtaining the rank of Purchasing Manager. Do it came pretty natural to me to step up to LSC Foundation treasurer.
I enjoy being with my family and traveling as well as birding.

Donna Schneider: Secretary
I have been a volunteer most of my life. I was looking for a new volunteer opportunity when I saw a notice in the Messenger about board openings, so the timing was perfect. I’ve been a board member since February 2023 & Secretary since January 2026.
What I bring to the board comes from my career of 42 years in Human Resources. I interacted with a wide variety of people. I volunteered with my professional association for 20+ years which included event planning and fundraising.

Tim Radtke: Board Member
I had a career as a Manufacturing Engineer for the Boeing Company for 33 years. My experience as a Team Leader and Facilitator provides me with the background and skills to be a foundation board member. I performed the duty of Foundation Secretary from May 2024 until December 2025. Since joining the Lynnwood Senior Center in august of 2023 I have made many friends. I am a regular volunteer in the coffee bar and enjoy visiting with members. My main hobby is music related. I am also involved with several Dog Rescue groups. Current Web Master.

David Quarders: Board Member
I have enjoyed a long career in the maritime industry and learned many skills set along the way in business and management. Once I retired, I was eager to find a way to apply my experience and realized I wanted to have a method of "giving back" and making a positive contribution to our senior community. This desire was fostered from knowing my wonderful mother-in-law and how she had such great enjoyment with numerous classes, field trips and the social activities at Lynnwood Senior Center. I was delighted and honored to join the Lynnwood Senior Center Foundation Board. This has been rewarding to me in being part of the planning and execution of beneficial functions to our local senior community.
